Regardless of that... WE HAVE A SIGHTING OF FLAT FIELDS!!!

Should have more details soon.

If Flat Fields comes your way, get us stuff soon to post. Keep Flat Fields Alive!

Fields kicks it in Texas

After arriving here in Texas, Fields spent some time with the Gerdes family. He arrived just in time for a great home cooked meal and some very necessary family time.

Then we took him outside to the backyard and had some fun on the fort. He really enjoyed spending time with some great University of Texas fans. He really enjoyed seeing what it felt like to hang with a national championship team.

Soon after, he came back inside for a little time of music. He really got into the beats that were being thrown down even though they were not in any recognizable rhythm. He even tried to sing a little.

Then after a long hard day Fields enjoyed some relaxing time in the tub. It was a little awkward at first but he cracked some jokes about Josh Griffin and things got a little settled down. All in all it was a good trip to Texas and Fields really enjoyed the great state.

Vegas Baby!!!

What up? So here’s the story…

Doug Fields lands in Vegas early Wed morning. That day he takes some time to spend with the staff at South Hills praying for their up coming event Battle for a Grand. Doug is amazed, as you can see, at the great graphics that we made for this event.
After that Doug takes some time to go to student leadership and really challenge the kids. He looks around the church gathering room for some slot machines that he has heard about, but can never be tracked down.

After student leadership, Doug takes some time with the Adult Leader staff. He shares on how to do ministry in a crazy town and even gives some verses on gambling. Finally Doug closes out the mid-week service with a prayer and some encouraging words. Students are amazed at his wisdom and knowledge of the Bible. There was an autograph session that took place, but was too hard to get any good shots.

Oh by the way, we went to a Casino, but they don’t like pictures taken there… so needless to say we got booted!!!

Quick Update

Flat fields will not have any updates for a few weeks as I am out with family after the unexpected loss of my father. If you have flat fields please go ahead and e-mail me the pics and keep him moving and I will post things when I get back home after Thanksgiving.

Thanks for your patience,

Lyndale

Flat Fields visits Bakersfield

Well Flat Fields probably just made the least most excited stop on his journey. I mean Bakersfield is the least most desirable spot in all of California to visit. But Fields made the most of his trip.

He started off by dropping in to meet with 3 amazing young youth workers that are interning right now. As they have been discussing and walking through Your First 2 Years in Youth Ministry Ryan, Christa & Kristina all considered it a treat to have the author himself there to gain wisdom & advice from. And not to mention to share some hamburger helper lunch with as well.

After the meeting we paid homage to fields as he dropped by the PDYM meditation spot & with flat fields himself there it really did seem to be a spiritual moment.

After the interns left Fields enjoyed a quiet nap with a close friend.

After the nap Field decided to give his friend a night off so he & his wife could go on a date. So fields played a game of hide & seek with their two son’s, go cloud gazing & also teach the young two the art of facial expression making.

Flats Fields really is a man of much to give.

Flat Fields visits North Carolina

After leaving the bayou Flat Fields made his way to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He stopped into to Concord Baptist Church, Granite Falls, NC to see how things were going.

During his visit we stopped by the Pepsi Bottling Company. I knew how much Doug loves Diet Pepsi and it just so happens that on this particular date they were making the favorite beverage. After a brief tour of the plant – the workers were nice enough to give Fields a 2 liter fresh off the assembly line.

I live close to the Pepsi plant and wanted to introduce my family to Doug. He had so much fun playing with my kids he decided my wife and I needed to go out to dinner and offered to watch the girls. They had so much fun playing on the swing-set. Thanks for the babysitting job Doug!

Finally we had already planned a trip to Blowing Rock, NC. I was not sure if Doug had ever been to this area so we showed him around the Blue Ridge Mountains. Great view and what luck – peak season to view the leaves.

Had a great time hanging our with Flat Fields ! He’s off for another adventure.
